Submission Guidelines

Premiere Magazine:

We are interested in anything and everything Southern. Whether you have a story about the time Aunt Eugenie’s petticoat caught fire during a candlelight vigil, or an essay delving deep into the history of the mule trade in Postbellum Mississippi, there’s probably a place for it here. However, we are not interested in reflections on contemporary partisan politics or whatever hot-button issues are all over the news on any given day. So, tell us about the blues, and coon dogs, and tobacco farming, and how the Calhouns were able to make a living selling goats after Earl lost his eye down at the rubber band factory.
